The PET capsules inserted into the wooden crust in Parque de los Pinos, are manufactured using a plastic inflation technique. In order to standarize the capsule types, six sizes were defined, corresponding to six different air volumes, generated using different pressure.
The process consists of injecting air into the pre-form in the 6 pre-defined moulds to produce their solidification on contact with the walls. The six types correspond to different wolumes of water for algae breeding. Two of the capsules are also receptacles for plant species, used as a park greenhouse.
